Those who compose in Logic X, Digital Performer 9 and a few other DAWs can export notation via MusicXML for import into Finale. Retina Macbook Pro OSX 10.9.5, 2.5GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB RAM, El Capitan on separate drive But, if I'm using a template, or a file that I've used before and cleared everything out, these type of files when saved as midi have the instruments in the wrong order in Logic. If I use the setup wizard to create a file from scratch and save a midi from that, the tracks usually stay in the same score order in Logic. When I tried for the next scene, same garbled order - makes no sense. I wanted to post an example but somehow my musx file (for only 2 bars) ballooned to 13mb.gotta figure out what's going on there. Oboe up very top, flute way down below, violin 1 and 2 separated from each other. Next problem - when I export my midi to file (now, I don't think this happened before), the order of tracks is totally garbled.
